Claim to fame at MSU:1968

From “The Montanan” 1968 (with some minor corrections)

Radio Station

KATS, located at 590 kilocycles on your dial began broadcasting on October 2nd. Four months later, on January 28, it was joined by KGLT, an FM station located at 90.1 megacycles. The stations are housed in special, sound-proofed, rooms in the basement of the SUB. The facilities involved represent and investment of $38,000 in equipment and building renovation costs. The large dials, called “pots,” regulate the relative volume of microphones, tape decks, and turntables.
