• Proactively participate in and influence industry issues relating to government policies impacting roof coatings and adhesives. Continue to engage government agencies, NGOs, and code bodies.

• Serve as the technical resource center for the roof coatings and building industry.

• Explore opportunities to enhance non-dues revenue.

• 2009: 49 active members (5 new members, but 8 dropped members)

• 2010: 40 active members (2 new members, but 11 dropped members)

• 2011: 39 active members (2 new members, but 3 dropped members)

• 2012: 37 active members

• RCMA drafted a White Paper on Reflective Surfaces, Energy Savings, and Environmental Benefits

• White Paper was sent to Steve Ryan (EPA) in mid-January

White Paper on Reflective Surfaces• RCMA’s suggests the following disclaimer:

• Although there are inherent benefits in the use of reflective roofing, before selecting a roofing product based on expected energy savings consumers should explore the expected calculated results that can be found on the Department of Energy’s “Roof Savings Calculator” website at www.roofcalc.com. Please remember the Energy Savings that can be achieved with reflective roofing is highly dependent on facility design, insulation used, climatic conditions, building location, and building envelope efficiency.
