From the Pastor
We will begin a new sermon series this Sun
day. “Thrive” will, in a large part, lead us
through the book of Ephesians. The theme
of Ephesians is the church as a living
organism. It is a key book for understand-
ing our personal, thriving relationship with
Jesus and our fellow Christians.
Our self-image is influential in shaping our attitudes and actions.
When we see ourselves as enabled and capable, we will act
confidently and thrive. When we see ourselves as defeated and weak,
we will likely refuse to try.
In our spiritual experience, our personal image of who we are plays a
significant role, too. This series will help us understand who we
really are as Jesus’ people, and then help free us from frustrations and
old identities. In turn, we will thrive in our relationships with the
Lord and others.
Invite someone for pancakes, Bible study, and worship this Sunday.
More than likely, they will say yes to your invitation.
Privileged to be your Pastor,
Bro. Tommy
