ABOUT THE COLLEGE The Government First Grade College, Honnali, Davanagere- District, Karnataka State was established in the year 2007 with a total of 127 students enrolled for the courses B.A., B.Com. and BBM. At present the college has 826 students providing four degree courses viz. B.A., B.Com. BBM and B.Sc. It is affiliated to Davanagere University and running by the Department of Collegiate Education, Government of Karnataka. The college aims at providing higher education to the students from rural and semi-urban areas of socially and economically backward classes. OBJECTIVES OF THE SEMINAR The main objective of the seminar is to provide an over view of the higher education in the present scenario and to focus on the issues related to higher education.
