Team Captain Reminders

• Please watch your Kids– Relay For Life is a fun family

event– We want to make sure the

safety of everyone is taken into consideration

– Teams need to keep watch of their team members

• Activities– Miss Relay

• Annual Douglas County Relay For Life Activity

– Must be 18 years or older to enter– Pageant begins around 10:30

» Contestants should be dressed and ready by 10:15pm

– Pageant ends around 11:30 pm– All Contestants must be male

• Activities– Road to Recovery

• American Cancer Society program that helps get cancer patients to their treatments.

• What Do You Do?– Design & Decorate your Box/Vehicle

» Yes! You can make it at home– Bring a trunk to collect your votes– Show up to Relay

» Display vehicle at beginning » Race later in the night

• Activities– Musical Chair Scavenger Hunt

• Teams have 1 representative battling for a chair

• Items will be “called out” for teams to find

• Chair is taken away• Team members return with item

– If a team member comes back with wrong item they are eliminated

• Kids Activities– Shoot the Cells– Bean Bag Toss– Toss Across– Duck Pond– Bottle Ring Toss– Bucket Toss– Paper Airplane Toss– Bowling– Quarter Drop– Milk Can Knockdown– Paratrooper Toss– Just to name a few…

Character Mascots 5-7pm

• Team Captain Nominations– Do you have a GREAT Team

Captain?• We want to know all about him

into Ann Sullivan by June 4th, 2010

• Cake Contest– Registration Forms must be

turned in by June 1st

• No cakes that require refrigeration• Must incorporate Relay Birthday Theme• Be considerate of space

– No more than 2 feet in length but as tall as you would like

• Cakes will be judged on:– Appearance– Taste– The Relay Birthday Theme

• Volunteer Opportunities– If you and/or your team

would like to volunteer for a couple hours, please contact Alex Law atl@huskers.unl.edu

• Team Challenger

It’s not too late to recruit a team or team members.

• Remember– No Pets– No Fire– No Fire Arms– No Tobacco Products

• Decorate Your Campsite– Birthday Theme– We will have awards:

• Most Creative Birthday Theme• Best Birthday Celebration at Camp

Site– Most outgoing campsite

• Best Birthday Attire – Birthday suit not allowed

Onsite Fundraising Money

• All onsite fundraising money needs to be turned in by 8:00pm – To be counted towards

awards
