PAINTS( requesting permission to explore the awareness and loyalty of people

ABOUT THE PROJECT
Project title : CONSUMER AWARNESS & CUSTOMER PREFERENCE TOWARDS DULAX
PAINTS,
Field : marketing ( direct field study ),University : Anna university of technology- Coimbatore ,Project duration : march to may 2011 , Objective of study : to gain practical knowledge under marketing research,Scope of the study :it covers all important all key factors of
marketing research.
What I going to do in the project
The project title is “ consumer awareness & customer preference ” towards DULUX paints.
Under this project I going to do in-depth and detailed field study to know the various attributes like as
a) Why the consumer are preferring the DULUX paintsb) How the consumer are Aware the key unique features of DULUX paintsc) How the DULAX paint is differs from other company's paints, and to know the
product position in customer mind,d) Analyzing the consumers brand loyalty over the DULEUX paints, and measuring
the brand preference and consumers perception through semantic kuttaman measurement scale
e) Through the valuable collected data, I, am going to produce a detailed and elaborate and accurate project to DULAX paints and to ANNA UNIVERSITY COIMBATORE.
Where I going do the field study
I going to collect all necessary information's and data's from the peoples, hardware shop owners, and dealers of Salem city.
In the Salem city I will collect all data through scheduled interview . I will collect information with the help of open ended and closed ended
questionnaire method. The data will collect from the following short of people. a) opinions towards DULUX paints from 500 houses from various
divisions of Salem city. to know the awareness and preference. b) I, am going to collect information from paint selling retail outlets to
know the retailers perception and attitude towards DULAX paints. The information I will collect near 50 paint shops and hardware shops.
c) I will collect information one who all ready used DULUX paints, the people one who using other company paints.
Apart from collecting data's what I are the other task I going to do
• I will suggest the people to use DULUX paints one who is using other company paints.
• I will can wash them to use the DULUX paints.• I will explain the people about the unique futures of DULUX.• I will give the paint shop visiting card to them to buy in case of
future requirements.• I will provide some useful sales tips to the paint shop owners to
increase the sales.• I, am going to apply innovative tools and techniques to drive the
project report.• I will create a cordial relationship in between whole seller and
retailer.• I will create a cordial relationship in between the people one who
going to interview by me and the paint shopper one who selling DULAX paints.
Uses of the project study
• I, am going to directly interact with the consumer, customer ,dealer, and retailer. So through the direct and realistic field study we can able to collect more valuable information to accomplish my project in a better manner and to suggest more valuable information to the “DULUX PAINT COMPANY”.
• Through the direct field study I can able to gain practical knowledge.
• It will be mutual beneficial to the company point of view and to me also.
• This market study will helpful to improve the sales and marketing strategy
• Through the can-wash the sales may increase.• While I explain the unique features and key attributes of
DULUX paints to the consumer we can stimulate them and we accelerate them to buy DULUX paints.
