REVIEW FOR THE FINAL EXAM

ONLINE MATH 1010 – Intermediate Algebra

MATH 1010 Final Exam

• This is a comprehensive departmental final exam• The exam will be proctored • There will be 30 multiple-choice questions on

this exam• You will have 2 hours to complete the exam• This is a paper-and-pencil exam, not on a

computer• You may use a scientific calculator (No graphing

calculators or other devices are permitted.)

Remember

• There will be no partial credit awarded on the exam – points are awarded solely for circling the correct answer choice.

• Watch the time and be sure to double-check your work

• The exam is usually formatted so that there is not space to work on the exam itself, so make use of scratch paper. Be organized on your scratch paper, write carefully and number your problems so that you can easily check your work.

• Practice as many of the posted old final exams as you can•One idea is to print a bunch of them (or get a packet from the bookstore), cut them up, then draw out 30 and give yourself 2 hours to take a practice final. This will help you with pacing as well•Be sure to review past midterm exams and module tests and learn any problems you've missed or struggled with in this course•view the videotaped final review posted online•As you practice, think about how you will recognize what to do with each type of problem and practice thinking through what steps to do for each kind of problem.
