ROMANIAN WINTER TRADITIONS

Mos Nicolae

• In Romania, Moş Nicolae is roughly equivalent to Santa Claus. In the 5-6 december night, little children all over Romania put boots out for Moş Nicolae to fill with presents, generally lots of sweet, good things to eat like candy, chocolate and oranges.. Mos Nicolae put gifts good or bad like behaviors of the year. Children who have been naughty receive rod adorned as a symbol of punishment. Hopefully, if they were “good facts”, they awoke this morning to find presents!

• We have adorned the rod. I made the image of Santa's mascots. I also made many other ornaments for the Christmas tree. They will be sold for charity.

Merry ChristmassCraciun fericit!

• Winter photos and ornaments were produced by students of class I B : Antonia, Maria, Daria, Alexandra, Alexia, Michaela, Ana, Sophia, Daniela, Alex, Costi, Dani, Darius, Bogdan, Cristi, Vlad, Ionut
