Question 1• Why is he famous• John Britten is famous for being a

‘backyard inventor’. Using his skills and passion to produce an experimental and innovative motorcycle that went on to win a number of races and hold several land speed records.

• John Britten is famous for his development of the Britten V1000 motorcycle.

Question 3• What can we learn

from him?• That with a dream and a

persistent attitude, amazing things can be done.

• Why might we call him an innovator?

• John Britten had a dream to build the fastest motorbike in the world and fr5om his garage-workshop he produced an entirely new design that was leap forward in motorbike design and engineering.

Question 5• What sort of things do you think

he might have though about when he was creating?

• During the course of his creative process, I believe that he would be constantly thinking of the objective, providing a target or goal on which to strive.

• What else could you add to this research that you think is missing?

• The assignment concentrates on his achievements as a designer/innovator, however does not provide any insight into John Britten as a person. I understand that he was a very nice person with a family, and died when he was quite young.
