Are you pregnant?

Talk to your doctor about a blood test called prenatal screening.

A small amount of blood is taken from your arm. This can be done a few times between 11 and 20 weeks of your pregnancy.

It is your choioce if you want prenatal screening. It will be done only if you want it.

The blood test will show how large a chance there is that your baby might have spina bifida or Down syndrome.
