AIM

The project deals with the development of infrared remote

controller of home appliances using Atmel AT89S52 micro

controller, which is used to regulate the power flowing in the

a.c. load using a remote controller sending signals to the

micro controller Atmel AT89S52 as interrupts.

The project is an attempt to implementation of few

consumer electronic products mostly at homes.

noise ratio

The infrared receiver can detectedthe signal in distance of 50 feet.

It is very efficient and flexible.

RESULT

This project can be identify as a efficiency, easy and flexible switch control system for the home Appliances.

Only using press button on one signal remote control without needed to move over the switch and operate it.

Step down Transformer used to convert high value of A.C to low value.

7805 regulator produces power is 5vD.C

7812 regulator produces power is 12v D.C

FUTURESCOPE

TV and home theatre manufacturers are releasing applications

that replace your remote and let you control your appliances with a

few swipes of the finger on your multi touch smart phone screen.

"Appliance manufacturers have been working with utilities and

other technology vendors on pilot projects and, from a technology

perspective, have now demonstrated that it is relatively easy to

produce a home your smart phone”, that small, portable device you

carry with you everywhere you go will take on an even more important

role in your life in the future.

CONCLUSION

The conduction of this project is not only using the combination of infrared and microcontroller but it also using the power line carrier to transmit the information.

The signal transmitted is not strong enough due to own invented data transmitted via power line. The signal transmitted will easily interrupt by existing noise in the power line.

Signal transmitter have low signal to noise ratio, however this project maybe can well functioning ,if the low noise power line is used the factor which cause the increment of noise level are the amount of high watt electrical appliances connected to the power line.
