A Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) is a document that gives detailed information about the nature of a chemical, such as physical and chemical properties health, safety, fire, and environmental hazards of

a chemical product. They are designed for:

workers who may be exposed to hazardous materials

emergency personnel (for example, firefighters),who may have to clean up a spill or release.

Hazard Diamond: On MSDS The four divisions are typically color-coded,

Blue: health hazard Red: flammability Yellow: (chemical) reactivity White: special codes for unique hazards.

Each is rated on a scale: from 0 (no hazard; normal substance) to 4 (severe

risk).
