Who was Patrick? He is the patron saint of Irish people. But he was born in

Wales (Britain). He was a Saint. The story of his life:

He was kidnapped and he lookedafter sheeps when he was young.One day he saw God because hespoke and dreamt with him.

What do they usually do to celebrate this

day?

Everything is… GREEN They wear green clothes. They decorate everything.

They make an enormous parade!

USA, Great Britain, Argentina, Spain, Japan, Canada, Russia…

A false legend of this Saint… Saint Patrick is supposed to expel

snakes from Ireland.

But this is a MYTH! And a religious symbol.

Shamrock: it is a good-luck symbol

Leprechaun: an unfriedly fairy who has got a pot of gold. He is like an old man. He’s very small and he’s very naughty.
