Design Studio AirInterim PresentationSam Dunkley and Lan Nguyen

Many humans spend hours each week using energy in the form of exercise for its own sake. Treadmills, weight machines, and exercise bikes take energy pro-duced by our muscles and counteracts it using friction, gravity or air resistance. But what if we harnessed that energy and used it to generate electricity? Our proposal will draw attention to the nature of energy and how it can be used in its different forms. It will bring people to the site by providing an en-gaging, communal electricity-producing activity. By utilising computational techniques for form creation and fabrication, we gen-erated a structure which will draw people to the park. It will provide interest as an aesthetically pleasing pavilion, a functional energy gernerator and a interesting ob-servation on human’s use of energy.
