Welcome to our Scottish tour of Piclochtry, Perth, Blaire, Scone, Stirling and Dunkeld. This trip will allow me, Laura & Derek Day to visit some of the
most breathtaking adventures of Scotland.During our stay on May 30th-1’st June 2015, we will be
staying in Pitlochtry on the banks of the River Tummel. We hope you enjoy this presentation of Scotland’s
heritage of Scone Palace, Stirling Castle, Blaire Castle and the town of Dunkeld’s and it’s historical
Hermitage and Cathedral.
Stirling CastleStirling Castle is a historical castle in Scotland.
The castle sits on a rock overlooking the historical town of Stirling. The castle dates from late 13th
century.Today this castle is a heritage place for
many people who travel or see the castle from the road. This castle will be the
starting point for our weekend in Scotland 2015.
Pitlochry
Pitlochry is a Scottish Victorian town situated on the banks of the River Tummel. The town is famous
for it’s church, fishing ladder and bridges.In the central of the town, there is a pub called Mcaggas.
This will be the pub we will visit during our stay In Pitlochry.
Mkays Pub & RestaurantThe Mkays Pub is a restaurant and pub in the central of Piclotchry. This pub will allows us to eat and drink while we are staying one night in the town of Pichtlochry in
Scotland. Mkays has Live Music, restaurant, pub and bar. This is the meeting place for local people in the town of Pictlochry in Scotland. The pub is open
noon every day of the year.
Scone PalaceScone Palace is a historical place in Scotland. The palace is poised overlooking the River Tay
in Perthshire Scotland. The palace has had a colourful & rich history
surviving through Robert I and Macbeth, the palace is a stronghold to Scotland & Perthshire.
The Palace has a shop, café and it’s grounds are also spectacular for people who want to
have a picnic and gaze at the views of Scotland.
The River TayThe River Tay is another spectacular and quiet river in Scotland. The River Tay is
another river in Perthshire. The River can allow fishing, sailing and canoeing on the banks of the Tay. The Tay runs through the
towns of Dunkeld and Perth.
Blaire CastleBlaire Castle is a historical castle in Scotland. The castle dates from 12th century. The castle has been
on the site for 700 years for the Dukes and Duchesses of Atholl.
Today, many visitors can go on a guided tour of the castle and see the marvellous rooms where the Dukes and
Duchesses of Atholl lived. After your tour of the castle, you can enjoy the
grounds, shops and tea room.
