Space crafts cannot take us more than 3 D.

So astronauts –may go to a 3 D projection of Chandraloka but not experience its higher dimension- residents, heavenly opulences etc.,

If a person moves his finger from Pune to Mumbai in the map he does not experience the people and the skyscrapers.

Vedic scriptures say Chandraloka is a higher dimensional planet for higher living beings. As cosmonauts didn’t experience that, we can’t know for sure where they went
