Restoring BALANCE in your body requires a balanced approach to healing!

•  Follow a balanced approach •  Start off gently; use light to medium pressure for

minimum recommended time •  If you feel "ne the next day, can add time or

increase pressure the next time you practice; up until you maximum recommended time

•  If you feel friction when massaging a point, apply lubricant such as massage oil or moisturizer

•  Alternate hands when switching feet •  Lean in with body weight to apply pressure

instead of pushing from thumb or wrist •  Rest if hands/arms feel tired •  Be relaxed when you massage •  Don’t concentrate so hard •  Remember to breathe

•  Close to Kidney 1 acupuncture point, which is sometimes used to induce labor

•  Point powerfully draws down excess qi from top of head

•  Soles of both feet •  Step 1: Imagine horizontal line

dividing foot in half horizontally (from tip of big toe to base of heel )

•  Step 2: Imagine vertical line dividing foot in half vertically

Kidney Point – Location

•  Step 3: Locate top inside quadrant, Kidney point is mainly here

•  Step 4: Imagine another horizontal line along bottom of ball of foot

•  Kidney point is below red line and above halfway line

•  Step 5: Place thumb on vertical line, with two thirds of thumb width in top left quadrant and one third in top right quadrant of left sole

•  About as wide as your thumb •  Rate from 1 to 5

•  Repeat on right foot •  Horizontal line and vertical

lines divide foot into quadrants •  Place thumb on vertical line,

with two thirds in top RIGHT quadrant and one third in top left quadrant

•  Rate from 1 to 5

Kidney Point – Right

•  0 to 1: Qi is strong, robust health, strong constitution

•  2 to 3: Have been depleting qi over time; battery is half-charged; or may not have gotten enough sleep recently

•  4 or 5: Qi is weak and has been depleted over many years, chronic illness or stress

•  Locate on sole of left foot •  Massage up and down with

knuckle (apply lubricant to reduce friction on knuckle)

•  Or use thumb pad to massage •  30 to 60 seconds at tolerable
