All technicians opening the refrigeration circuit in automotive air conditioning systems must be certified in refrigerant recycling and recovery procedures to be in compliance with Section 609 of the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990. The MACS onsite training and certification program consists of a live instructor-led presentation of U.S. EPA approved recovery and recycling overview and procedures, including R1234yf, followed by distribution of the MACS certification training manual followed by a 25 question, closed book test.
