Girl Scout National ProficiencyBadgesGirl Scout badges are a great way for a girl to explore her interests and learn new skills—and to remember every adventure and show the world what she’s accomplished.
What is she passionate about? Does she dream of making her own movie, cooking food from a different country, or going geocaching? Sleeping under the stars, writing a book of short stories, or planting a garden?
Or maybe she wants to invent something new, paint a masterpiece, or learn about endangered wildlife. Star in a play, design a website, or go kayaking. Even turn her bedroom into a jungle, run a successful business, or go on an amazing trip. The sky’s the limit!
National ProficiencyBadgesYour Senior National Proficiency
badges are filled with fun ways to
learn new skills or dig deeper into
topics you’re already interested in. All
the National Proficiency badges are
listed on this chart. On the back you’ll
find your Senior Awards Log, where
you can review every award you can
earn as a Girl Scout Senior.
Any badge skills you learned as a
younger Girl Scout you’ll use in this
badge program—and every badge
you earn right now will prepare you
to take on the exciting challenges of
a Girl Scout Ambassador. If you earn
your Cross-Training badge, you’ll know
a wide variety of sports skills you
might put into play as an Ambassador
Coach. And when you know what you
want to say as a Voice for Animals,
you can speak out when you go
behind the scenes of Public Policy.
That’s how the National Proficiency
badge program is designed.
So check out this chart to see what’s
ahead, to review what you’ve already
accomplished, and to decide how
you might use your skills to mentor
younger girls in their badges. It’s a big
circle of skill-building and sisterhood:
one way every Girl Scout builds the
courage, confidence, and character to
make the world a better place.
