“Edit On My Machine”
Now Tell Your ComputerWhere You Want To
Store Your Files
Choose “FTP” From This Drop-Down List
On This Screen We Will Fill In Each Line
First Line, Drop Down & Choose FTP
Next Line, Type In Address
In This Case: ronjonesfamilyreunion.com
To Complete This Next Line You Will Have To Check The Information The Hosting Company Emailed You.
Usually There Is A Folder In Which The Webfiles Have To Be Placed. Often this folder is named “public_html”
The Next Line Is Your Login ID You’ve Already Set-up With Your Host Company
Now We Fill In Our Password That We’ve Already Set-up With Our Host Company
We Will Leave This Check-Box Unchecked
Now We Will Click The
“Test Connection” Box,
To Verify Our Set-up.
If The Connection Cannot Be
Established, Recheck Your
Login Name and Password

On This Screen We Click Done
And On This Final Screen We Also
Click Done

You Are Now Ready To:
•Upload Your Files To The Host Server
•Download Existing Web Files From The Host Into Your Computer
