ThemainpurposeofthiscourseinQuantitativeMethodsinBusinessistointroducethestudenttotechniquesinOperationsManagement.OperationsManagementisthesystematicapproachandcontroloftheprocessesthattransforminputs(e.g.humanresources,facilities,materials,etc.)intofinishedgoodsandservices.Theoperationfunctionisoneoftheimportantcoresofabusiness.Thiscourseprovidestheoreticalbackgroundandpractice in theuseofmathematical tools foraidingmanagerialdecision-making in thecorporateandpublicsectors.Topicscoveredincludemathematicalmodeling,linearprogramming,inventorycontrol,timeseries analysis and forecasting, decision theory, project planning using networks and other topics at theinstructor'sdiscretion.

into improvementofprocessesandproducts. Ithelpstoreducecostsandtomeetandexceedneedsandexpectationsof customersandother stakeholdersof anorganization.
