Shuffle a pack of cards really thoroughly and there’s a greater chance than not that the exact sequence in the deck has never been seen before in all of history.

A man has four cards in his hand facing him: 2, 3, 4 and 5 (but not in that order).

He wants them placed in ascending order from his left to his right. To do this, he takes the

rightmost card and puts it first. He then takes the third card from the left and puts it in last place.

What was the previous order of the cards?

Consecutive numbers are integers (whole numbers) that follow each other in order.

They have a difference of 1 between them.

For example, 4 and 5 are consecutive numbers.
