Palangos Koncertų Sale, Palangas, Lithuania (2015)
SIAP has beautifully enhanced the acoustics for the new “Palangos Koncertu Salé”. The hall is now equipped
with variable acoustics which is fully interchangeable between 1.0 and 5.0 seconds, divided in 14 presets.
The seating capacity of the fan shaped auditorium is 2,500 distributed over the main floor (11-row stalls) and
the 26-row balcony, plus a side-balcony left and right. The stage in accommodated in a stage house/fly
tower. The natural acoustic of the auditorium is designed to achieve optimum conditions for amplified sound
(speech and music) through a front-of-house sound reinforcement system (FOH). For the other – equally
important – unamplified performances the SIAP system is selected to provide the variable acoustics for
chamber music, opera, classical ballet, chamber orchestra, symphony orchestra and choir music, etc. The
FOH system can operate together with SIAP for theatre sound effects and (film) surround (routing 5.1 / 7.1
9.1).In this prestigious project we are working intensively and exclusively with (high quality loudspeakers
from) L ‘Acoustics and their system integrator STS Scenos Techninis Servisas (Lithuania).
Sejong Performing Arts Centre, Seoul, South Korea (2006)
The Sejong Center for the Performing Arts (or Sejong Center) is the largest arts and cultural complex in
Seoul, South Korea. It has an interior area of 53,202 m². It is situated in the center of the capital, on
Sejongno, a main road that cuts through the ancient capital city of the Joseon Dynasty. The center took 4
years to complete, opening its doors in 1978. It was "built as a cultural center for Seoulites". It currently is
home to the biggest pipe organ in Asia.
Theatre Heerlen, Heerlen, The Netherlands (2007)
The Municipal Theatre Heerlen, The Netherlands: 1.060 seats, orchestra shell on stage for concerts (2007) is
mentioned as an example of a successful SIAP system. Famous orchestras such as the Royal Concertgebouw
Orchestra of Amsterdam and the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra perform there with great acoustic (and
therefore public) success. This system incorporates the present state-of-the-art SIAP MK IV processor.

Above a photograph of automatically
adjustable acoustic panels in the
sidewalls of the theatre hall.
These panels project direct -
especially early side reflections -
subtly into the auditorium. SIAP
loudspeakers are built in.
These panels are adding more
spaciousness into the soundfield.

Stadttheater Gera, Gera, Germany (2007)
Stadttheater Gera was designed in 1902 and unites a theater hall (552 seats) and a concert hall (812 seats)
which was renovated in 1993. The concert hall with is grand "Sauer-Organ" belongs undoubtedly to one of the
most beautiful concert halls from Thüringen. It was a great challenge to implement a SIAP system and
maintaining the authentic interior.
