th4 ANNUAL NATIONAL CONFERENCE OF PediSTARS
PRE CONFERENCE WORKSHOPS
WORKSHOPS AND CONFERENCE
The Program will be conducted by international and national simulation experts. By the end of the course, participants can learn to be a facilitator of simulation based education in their day to day practice as well as in their institutions and contribute towards enhanced learning in a risk free environment and hence quality care to patients. All participants will be mentored by senior faculty and will have the opportunity to maintain skills as facilitators or trainers by becoming faculty for the workshops organised by PediSTARS India locally and nationally.
LEARNING OBJECTIVESl Principles of adult learningl Application of adult learning principles in
simulated environmentl Technical and non-technical know-how of
designing simulation scenariosl Approach to setting learning objectivesl Conducting a simulation scenario-nuts and
bolts, preparations and pitfallsl Debriefing- the essence of simulation based
education
TARGET PARTICIPANTSl Healthcare professionals who are interested in
Simulation Based Learning and keen to become a Trainer
l Pediatricians, Neonatologists, Physicians, Emergency care doctors, Intensivist, Ped. Intensivists, Anaesthetists, Nurses, Paramedical technicians, Medical and Nursing Faculty
l Encouraged to come as a team from same institution (Doctor plus nurse/technician)
HIGHLIGHTSl Understand the role of simulation in education
and quality improvement.l Understand and practice the principles of adult
learning.
l Understand and practice the principles of Crisis Resource Management and Multidisciplinary team training
l Review and demonstrate effective debriefing methodology
