I make US fly.

Everything speaks

Airline travelers form opinions or choose an airline based on their impressions. Price, convenience, and other aspects play a part, but many travelers’ choices center on perceived quality differences between carriers.

Research shows that airline travelers see the behavior and appearance of airline personnel as an indicator of airline performance. If a customer sees that an employee goes the extra mile, exhibits a friendly and helpful attitude, and presents a crisp, clean image, the customer is much more likely to see the carrier as consistent, reliable and proficient.

As a uniformed employee, you have the power to make a deep and lasting impression on our customers by presenting a professional, crisp and consistent appearance. While each of us is important to the company’s success, those of you who represent US Airways to the traveling public have a unique role. As a frontline employee, you are US Airways.

Overview

The purpose of your new uniform is to make you easily identifiable to customers as a representative of US Airways. You’re expected to report to work in uniform and meet all uniform and appearance expectations covered here, as well as any updates, revisions, or changes published by your department.

Be sure you review your departmental guidelines which describe in detail the specific uniform and appearance standards that apply to you. If there’s a conflict between this handout and your department guidelines, your department’s policy applies. Employees who don’t meet these standards will meet with their manager or supervisor.

Any questions regarding these policies should be directed to your supervisor or via your department feedback channels.
