Making Purpose a Reality
S = SPECIFIC
• Answers the “WHAT”
• What do you want to do?
• The more specific, the more doable
M = MEASURABLE
• This means that when you complete your goal, there will be progress to track.• Ex. Eating less refined sugars = more
energy, clearer skin• Ex. Exercising 30 minutes a day =
healthier heart, sharper mental focus• Ex. Taking a class toward a certification
= grade, knowledge to apply
A = ACHIEVEABLE
• Start regular goal setting by reaching for what is slightly out of reach.• Ex. Going back to school?
• Register for the next semester. • Research schools to find the right
program for you.• Research scholarships.• Call and meet with a counselor/advisor.
