Overview SocialMediaaccessibilityislimitedinmanyways,butissuesaccessingandunderstandinginformationarepresentforthosewithdisabilities.Therefore,itisimperativethatwemakesocialmediacontentasaccessibleaspossible.ThefollowingsectionsoutlineaccessibilityfeaturesineachsocialmediaplatformwithafocusonImages,Hyperlinks,Hashtags,andVideos.

Asageneralruleforallsocialmediacontent,pleaseremembertoensurethatgraphicsandimagesincludeadequatedescriptions,videosarecaptioned,andhyperlinksincludedescriptivetext.Alsostrivetouseplainlanguagebyavoidingjargonandacronyms.Additionally,limittheuseofEmojisandemoticonsusingcharacters/textbecausetheyarereadliterallybyascreenreaderandthereforecauseconfusion.
