Page 2© 2010 Hibe Incblog. .com

Hi everyone,

Following the recent introduction of the Social Web 3.0 concept1, I want to showcase how Hibe opens the way for a new social networking experience that goes beyond Facebook.

We released Hibe.com’s proofs of concept in 2009, received many constructive comments and will soon launch its final version.

The following slides showcase some of Hibe’s features and how they solve the problems of people like Debbie.

All comments are welcome.

Before Hibe, I struggled every day to interact with my audiences that kept mixing up.

Page 5© 2010 Hibe Incblog. .com

I used Web 2.0 services to help me but they were just adding to the complexity. Fact is, my audiences also mix up and overlap online.

Page 6© 2010 Hibe Incblog. .com

I wished I could behave and share online the way I do in my real life. Here is how Hibe helps me achieve this.

Page 7© 2010 Hibe Incblog. .com

I portray multiple

facets of my identity.

Page 8© 2010 Hibe Incblog. .com

On Hibe, I create facets to

share subsets of my

identity with others.

Page 9© 2010 Hibe Incblog. .com

A facet allows me to share

my interests, activities,

values, beliefs, affiliations...

Page 10© 2010 Hibe Incblog. .com

Using facets, I portray as

many “Debbies” as I want

to my audiences.

Page 11© 2010 Hibe Incblog. .com

My conversations

have a context.

Page 12© 2010 Hibe Incblog. .com

On Hibe, I always start a

conversation by creating a

booklet about something.

Page 13© 2010 Hibe Incblog. .com

In my booklet, I can add

videos, photos, links, texts

or any other content I want

people to comment on.

Page 14© 2010 Hibe Incblog. .com

I can create as many

booklets as I want to share

with others.

Page 15© 2010 Hibe Incblog. .com

OR

I can opt out from

any conversation.

Page 16© 2010 Hibe Incblog. .com

On Hibe, conversations

occur in booklets.

Page 17© 2010 Hibe Incblog. .com

If I don’t like a conversation,

I simply “Unfollow” the

booklet to stop receiving its

content.

Page 18© 2010 Hibe Incblog. .com

I always control which

conversations I follow from

others.

I define my audiences

and choose what

I share with them.

On Hibe, I build my

audiences by adding

people to my facets.

Page 21© 2010 Hibe Incblog. .com

Each time I start a

conversation, I select its

audience(s).

Page 22© 2010 Hibe Incblog. .com

At all times, I can review

the audiences of my facets.

Page 23© 2010 Hibe Incblog. .com

At all times, I can also

review what is shared

through my facets.

Page 24© 2010 Hibe Incblog. .com

I connect to others

based on pre-defined

conditions.

Page 25© 2010 Hibe Incblog. .com

On Hibe, I can limit a

facet’s audience by setting

access conditions.

Page 26© 2010 Hibe Incblog. .com

I can set access conditions

based on booklets…

on people…

on locations and more.

Page 29© 2010 Hibe Incblog. .com

These conditions allow me

to connect and interact

with various audiences.

Page 30© 2010 Hibe Incblog. .com

Finally, I share online

like in my real life

social network.
