1.- To KNOW: What is the reality and the current diagnosis about Social Networks in the European Union (EU) minority languages?
*According to 3 main factors=
(1) Sociolinguistic+ (2) Connectivity+ (3)Social Proactivity
: Best practices & experiences
2.- To GATHERabout Social Networks applied to those EU languages in any social field (education, medias, business, culture, leisure, associations, e-local govenment,)
3.- To IDENTIFY: Key players in this topic in the EU scope (universities, consultancy, public administration,…)
4.- To PROFILE: Tuenti, Facebook and Twitter Social Networks Basque language users different profiles.

2.- 7 Objectives. 2.- 7 Objectives.
5.- To LOOK INTO: USERS!
Motivations, fears, attitudes, behaviours, usage of the language/s (at the same time), boundaries, risks, opportunities, benefits.
Why & What do they use them for?
6.- To IMPLEMENT: Several STRATEGIES according to the previous diagnosis . Grassroots intervention:
Who key players with? Which field?
*Has just came across during the research process: Urgently we need to face the opportunity in the “grassroots”: Medias, School , Local administration & Adult basque language education.
7.- To DISSEMINATE: The results of this project should be distribuited all around the current and future users. Thus, taking into account potential users in favour of the increasing usage & content creatively creation in basque language.*** http://www.euskadi.net/euskadi2puntu0 is a 2.0 interactive platform that is being designed in its beta version in parallell with this research project. 4.- 10 Main Conclusions: Decalogue (4.- 10 Main Conclusions: Decalogue (up to nowup to now).).
1.- DIGITAL LINGUISTIC POLICY:
Social Networks are able to set up a new starting point for the strategies & implementation of the principles of the Minority Languages´Digital Linguistic Policy. Is a phenomenon that we need to make the best of it.
We need to Innovate. Do not play with the analogic mindset. Digital era could offer us a new way to try or to experiment with our small but “broad” minority language.
2.- BILINGUALS and SOCIAL NETWORKS:
•Bilinguals preselect the language used according to the AUDIENCE.
•Bilinguals select the language as an act of free SELF-identification /expressionism.
3.- PASSIVE/RECEPTIVE BILINGUALS = LANGUAGE 2.0 Real TARGET
•We need to consider them as linguistic policy target taking into account their position referred to the minority language.

4.- 10 Main Conclusions: Decalogue (4.- 10 Main Conclusions: Decalogue (up to nowup to now).).
4.- We could focus on 3 MAIN STRATEGIES:
· ATTITUDES.
· INFORMATION FLUX management.
· INTERFACES translation.
5.- ATTITUDES:
We need to encourage to the usage of our minority language in the social networks.
How? “Normalizing” attitudes. Espontaneously.
Suggestions in the focus-groups:
A.- Avoiding: “Institucional role” or “supporter role” of the language in favour of “VIP celebrities on the Social Networks” BEING THE MEDIA!
B.- Relaxing the exigency of the language quality: Enabling basque-spanish, new basque speakers`mistakes, encouragin dialects, txting or smsing dictionaries,….
6.- INFORMATION FLUXES management:
Information in minority language should be n any format: Audio, Video, URL, Picture,…
About everything:.

4.- 10 Main Conclusions: Decalogue (4.- 10 Main Conclusions: Decalogue (up to nowup to now).).
7.- INTERFACES translation:
Own interfaces? EuskalTube instead of YouTube?
Basque language is using the standard brand commodity Social Networks: Fb, Tu & Tw.
We need to be really accurate with the institutions interfaces: Irekia, Gazteaukera,…
Fb and Tu are in basque. Tw is going to be soon.
8.- Train Minority Language KEY PLAYERS in 2.0 tools.
9.- Involve Basque Country private firms in the idea of the quality service for their clients if they offer the servive, in BASQUE as well, using SOCIAL NETWORKS.
Allowing clients/customers having the commercial relationship in basque.
