How do we form them?The following verbs are stem-changers in the

preterite. Only –ir verbs that stem-changed in the present

can stem-change in the preterite.They take the same endings as regular –er/-ir

verbs: -í, -iste, ió, -imos, -ieronThe stem-change occurs ONLY in the 33rdrd

person singular and pluralperson singular and plural form of the verb.In other words: only change él/ella/usted ellos/ellas/ustedes
