Fernando was born in Oviedo the 29th of July 1981.

He started driving a little kart when he was only 3.

He achieve his first official victory at the age of 8.

That year he won the Spanish karting children’s championship.

Fernando continues winning races and championship the following years.

Some of the title he won before being professional were:

1. Karting Spanish champion2. Karting World champion3. Champion of the Euro Open by Nissan.

In 2001, Fernando arrived to the Formula 1 world.

He drove for Minardi that year.

Fernando signed up with Renault, but the didn’t drive in any race. He was the test pilot.

In 2003, Fernado won his first race in the Formula 1.

The victory was in the Hungarian Grand Prix.

In 2005, Fernando won 7 races and got 6 pole positions.

Because of this, Fernando was the Formula 1 World Champion in 2005.

Fernando won 7 races and got 5 pole positions

He won the F-1 World Champion again.

Fernando signed up with Mclaren Mercedes.

He won 4 races and got 3 pole positions.

Fernando didn’t won the championship that year. He was third.

Fernando came back to Renault. In 2008 and 2009 he only won 2 races.

Fernando signed up Ferrari. His first year he won 5 races and got 2

pole positions, but he didn’t won the Championship.

Fernando continues in Ferrari, but he still without winning his third World Championship.
