International Celebration - World Earth Day

Morning Session: The students of ECO club conducted the morning assembly to mark this special day. They presented articles, skit andand participated in fancy dress competition which made the students aware about protecting our mother earth and stop polluting and harming it. They realized the importance of 3R’s - reduce, reuse and recycle. The fancy dress competition was very unique and interesting as the children depicted how to save our land, rivers, oceans, air from pollution. The Pre- Primary students also celebrated World Earth Day by attending a special assembly. Evening Session: To spread the message of World Earth Day the school had organized a
programme in the evening which was attended by the residents of the KCW colony. The
students presented poems, songs, skit, and dance to create awareness among the masses to
save mother earth. As an initiative to protect energy the school has requested all to save
environment, all the residents accepted the Black Out call and switched off their lights at
home for one hour that day from 8:00pm to 9:00pm. It was supported by the Unit Head,
Mr. VinayBhalerao of KCW Plant and he appreciated our efforts.
The students of International Award for Young People participated in a rally to create awareness among the people about the harmful effects of using polythene bags and urging them to use paper bags. The students had made beautiful paper bags which were handed over to the passersby who promised to help students spread the message of say no to polythene bags. It was a good learning experience for all and a step towards protecting our environment.

A Hindi recitation competition was organized for students of classes III-V to explore the individual talents and also to build confidence in them. The students left no stones unturned to prove their mettle. It was mesmerizing to see them reciting the poem with lot of expressions. All the participants were appreciated well and non-participants were motivated and encouraged to actively participate in such competitions.
The students of class I and II participated in colouring competition. All the students participated in this competition enthusiastically and made it a successful event. They coloured the drawings beautifully and it brought out the creativity of the students. The drawings were displayed and were appreciated by the teachers.

The school organized Orientation Session for Parents on 25th April and 26th April for classes I to X to brief them about the CBSE New Assessment Pattern to be followed from the current academic session, 2017-18. The school prepared power point presentation to brief the parents regarding the same. The assessment of Scholastic and Co- Scholastic areas was explained and their queries were satisfied. The parents were pleased with this initiative taken by the school. The collective efforts of teachers and parents will help students to perform better and achieve their goals.

A Club Meeting was conducted on 7thApril 2017. The various clubs planned for the academic session 2017-18, English and Hindi Literary Clubs, Eco Club, Science Club, Heritage Club, Disaster Management Club, Cultural Club, Health & Wellness Club, ICT Club ,Consumer Club and Art Club had their first meeting.The club members discussed and planned the various activities to be conducted throughout the session, to design the logo of the club and for electing the secretary and deputy secretary of each club. It was a very fruitful meeting and children actively took part in the activities conducted by the clubs in- charges.
Hobby Classes
The Adityans are continuously encouraged to take their sports and cultural activities seriously with utmost perfection. In order to train and motivate our students to take part in various inter house as well as inter school competitions, hobby classes have been arranged for students of Classes I to X. They assemble in the school at 5:00 pm from Monday to Friday and engage themselves for one hour by attending the various hobby classes. Students can choose their hobby classes out

Mock Evacuation Drill by Disaster Management Club
The students of class IX and Disaster Management club conducted a special assembly to make the students aware about safety measures to be taken during an emergency. The students were informed about different safety issues related to school and to take precautions and be prepared to meet any calamity. A mock emergency evacuation drill was conducted for the students of class III to XII so that they know how to reach a safe area in an emergency. All the students were trained to reach the assembly point through different emergency exits. The Principal addressed the staff members and students and informed them to be alert to face any emergency and not to panic. The session was very informative and a good learning experience for all.

Yoga is an integral part of school curriculum. The girl students of class IX A and B attended a yoga session. It was conducted by Mrs.Devika Sharma. The students performed various exercises and learnt the correct postures of doing yoga. It will help the students to improve their physical fitness and be active. Moreover it helps to lead a balanced life and cope with different challenges with a positive attitude.

Visit of C.H.R.O Mr. Ramesh Mitragotri
The C.H.R.O Mr. Ramesh Mitragotri and Dr. P.V. Rao, Senior H.R. professional visited our institute on 10th May, 2017. They were warmly welcomed by the Principal and staff members in a traditional manner. The Unit Head, Mr. VinayBhalerao and all Functional Heads also accompanied the special guests. He took a round of the school and visited classrooms. Later in a formal gathering, the Principal delivered a welcome speech. It was followed by the power point presentation showcasing the achievements of students in academics and their involvement in International projects and other co-curricular activities. It also depicted the initiative taken by the school for the slow learners. Our special guests Mr. Ramesh Mitragotri and Dr. P.V. Rao addressed the gathering and appreciated the Principal & staff for their achievements in academics as well as co-curricular activities. They asserted that the school was doing a good job by balancing both academics & co-curricular activities for all round development of the children.

sensitize our drivers, conductors,
sweepers etc. against the harmful
effect of consuming tobacco. The
students of Class XII conducted a
special assembly. A Power point

Gallery to tell them about the
harmful effects of tobacco
consumption. It was followed by
taking a pledge. The Principal
addressed the gathering and
explained the importance of leading a

Card Making Competition –

Clay Modeling Play Group
The students of class I and II
participated in Card Making
Competition. The theme was ‘Mother’s
Day’. All students participated with
great excitement and made beautiful
cards for their mothers. It brought out
their creativity and they were very
happy to participate in this activity. The
tiny tots of play group were involved in
clay modeling & bead activity which
was a joyful experience for them. They
made nice and colorful decorative pieces.
It developed their craft skills and
brought forth their creativity.

English Recitation Class 1 & 2
The tiny tots of class I and II participated in English Recitation Competition. They were very excited and delivered their poems with great joy and confidence. Their gestures, modulation of voice and over all presentation was worth appreciating. The objective of this competition was to shun their stage fear and boost the confidence of little kids.
Colouring Activity – LKG & UKG
The tiny tots of LKG and UKG
participated in colouring competition
with great enthusiasm. The students
were provided with colouring sheets
and they filled bright colours in their
drawings. They performed this activity
with great joy. It was a fun filled
activity and they were eager to display
their art work. The drawings were
displayed on the bulletin board. It helps
to develop their hidden talent and they
learn to appreciate a beautiful piece of
art.

Inter House Declamation

Declamation Competition. The
students delivered speeches of
eminent personalities. They
presented their speeches with great
confidence and vigor. The students
displayed their oratorical skills and
most of them were remarkable. It
was a tough competition and all the
students got an opportunity to hone
their speaking skills.
Celebration of World
Environment Day
Our students were felicitated by the Environment Department of KCW Plant during the Environment Program. They had participated in poster making competition and emerged as winners. The students of Eco Club participated in tree plantation drive. The students planted 50 saplings in the school campus to make it green. This initiative motivated the children to be eco-friendly and develop a sense of appreciation for nature.

A ) Spell Bee Competition – Classes III to V
The students of classes III to V participated in Inter House
Spell Bee Competition. There were four teams which
represented the four Houses. There were different rounds
and the students performed well in them. The most
interesting was the rapid fire round. The students were well
prepared and it was a tough competition. The objective of
conducting this competition was to improve their spellings,
pronunciation and vocabulary.
B) Group Song Competition – Classes VI to VIII
The students of class VI to VIII participated in Inter House
Group Song Competition. The theme for the competition
was patriotic songs. All the four houses sang beautiful
patriotic songs with great enthusiasm. Their rendition was
melodious and soulful. The judges and audience were spell
bound by their performances. The Principal also appreciated
the students for their brilliant performance.
C) Basketball Competition - Classes IX to XII
The basketball team of boys and girls from classes IX to XII
participated in Inter House Basketball Match. The
completion was very interesting as each house gave a tough
fight to their opponent. The team from Bhaskar House and
Ravi House won the competition.

Fancy Dress Competition- PG to II
Special Assembly -Health & Wellness Club
Fancy Dress Competition was held for the students of Play Group to Class II on 10th August, 2017. The tiny tots participated in this competition in large number with great enthusiasm. The theme was related to Janmastahmi and great leaders of our freedom struggle. They dressed as Krishna, Radha, Gandhiji, ChanderShekhar Azad etc.The children looked adorable in different costumes. It was a visual treat for the audience.

The students of Health and Wellness Club conducted special assembly to celebrate National Sports Day. The students presented thought, news, quiz and articles on Importance of Sports. A group of students gave demonstration of basic techniques of self defence through judo. The Principal, Mr. NurulHaque also addressed the students and advised them to become physically fit and mentally strong by playing various sports. He also gave them some tips on self defencespecially to girl students and told them to be alert and smart.

The school had organized a wellness program in
collaboration with KCW Health Center on 14th
September, 2017. It was attended by the Principal
and the entire teaching faculty. The session was
conducted by Dr. Mansi Mehta, Physiotherapist
from Nanavati Hospital, Mumbai. The topic was
Ergonomics and Fitness. Dr. Mehta was
introduced by Dr. Chatterjee and she was warmly
welcomed by the Principal and the teachers. Dr.
Mehta began the session by teaching breathing
exercises to relieve stress and to feel relaxed at
work place. She gave tips to the teachers to use
correct postures while standing and teaching in the
class, while writing on the board and while
checking the note books. She taught few exercises
to relax our muscles in neck, shoulder, arms and
legs. She advised the teachers to wear proper and
comfortable footwear as they have to stand for long
hours. She also informed that students must do
warming up exercises and cooling exercises during
the games period. Later she answered to the queries
of teachers. It was a highly informative session and
created awareness among teachersto maintain
physical and mental fitness.
Tree Plantation
Tree plantation was conducted on 5th
September to mark the importance of
Conservation of Nature. The Principal, staff
and students actively participated in the
plantation drive. They happily planted each
sapling and took the responsibility of taking
care of plants.
