Onsite Events

In preparation for onsite events at the winery, either Sam or

myself would create a chalkboard to welcome the guests. If

requested, we could also create cheese trays. This section

highlights the chalkboard and cheese trays I created, as well as

photographs from select onsite events that I helped set up and

work. These onsite events include VIP tours as well as private

events.

Vineyard & Offsite Events

Oliver Winery opened the vineyard to the public twice this

summer for Cork and Fork Festival, a live music series. When

the vineyard is not open to the public, Oliver Winery

occasionally hosts VIP tours. I’ve included pictures from both vineyard events, as well as Taste of Bloomington. I’ve also included the details and packing list I created for Taste of

Bloomington

Summer Music Series

As Special Events Interns, our first real project starting

at the winery was to organize summer music. In the

summer, Oliver has extended hours and is open till 8:00

pm instead of 6:00 pm. We host live music, open to the

public, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm on these days. Sam and

I contacted all musicians via phone or email, negotiated

their price, and sent them contracts.

Daily Operations

Sam and I both had different tasks in our internships.

Two of my main tasks were onsite events and

updating external websites with public event

information. This section highlights a conversation

with a client as well as the finished details of her

event, some of the published events of various

websites, and other tasks I do throughout the week.

Reflection

I value the experience I gained working at Oliver Winery. I

gained knowledge in events, as well as experience working

with a great variety of people. I feel as though my internship

makes me stand out along other applicant for future jobs. I’m thankful to have been given the opportunity to intern at Oliver

Winery.
