KOLLABORATION ATLANTA
Kollaboration Atlanta began in 2008, dedicated to providing a creative platform for Asian American performance artists to showcase their talents within the greater Atlanta community. Every year, an audi-tion is held to select competitors for a large-scale talent show that takes place the following spring.
Since 2008, the event has drawn over 15,000 attendees, nearly a hundred tryouts, and widespread community recognition. As an entertainment-focused nonprofit in the Southeastern U.S., Kol-laboration Atlanta has gained a reputation as the premier source for locally-based Asian American musicians, dancers, and other performance artists.
Furthermore, Kollaboration volunteers have an opportunity to be part of an organization that is highly dynamic, where they can grow their skills and experience in areas such as Marketing, Public Rela-tions, Project Management, Operations, Finance, Design, Theatre, and Entertain-ment. Previous Executive Directors of Kollaboration include lawyers, project managers, investment analysts, and school teachers.
This upcoming April 2012, Kollaboration Atlanta will be hosting its Fifth Annual Show at Center Stage Theatre with an expected sold-out attendance of 1100+. The Kollaboration after-party (18+ event) will take place after the show.
Our Mission:
“Empowerment through Entertainment”
Our Vision and Purpose:
1. To provide an outlet for Asian Americans in the performing arts to share their talents to the local community
2. To promote community involvement by working with organizations to provide entertainment-based support for their cause and increased exposure for the performers
3. To inspire Asian American youth to pursue their talents in the mainstream media where diversity is limited or stereotyped
