Welcome to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Baton Rouge, LA

Welcome: You enter this Church not as a stranger, but as a guest of God. He is your heavenly Father. Come, then, with joy in your heart and thanks on your lips into His presence, offering Him your love and service. Be grateful to the strong and loyal ones who, in the name of Jesus Christ, built this place of worship, and to all who have beautified it and hallowed it with their prayers and praise. Ask His blessing on those who love His house of faith as the inspiration of their labor, rejoicing in the power of the Holy Spirit, and may that blessing rest on you, both on your going out and your coming in.

PSR News Greetings PSR family. As we begin to get back to what is now our “new normal,” we take this time to reflect on the Coved-19 issues that has transpired since we last met during classes or at Mass. We take a moment to pause and reflect on what is transpiring to all of us who are negatively affected by this virus. Let us remember in our prayers that PSR or family members that have recently passed and those who are affected and going through treatment because of the virus. I would like to reflect on our organist and choir director, Mr. Keith Thierry, he will truly be missed. Other’s that were associated with our PSR family are, Mr. R. L. Davis, the father of Ms. Toni Davis, Mrs. Joyce Vaughn the grandmother of Ms. Jade Spears and Trey Spears, and Annie Charles, the mother of Leona Wells and grandmother to Stephen and Tyson Wells. May the Angel of the Lord present them to God the Most High. May they rest in peace. Amen. I will be discussing with Fr. Ed, the wrap-up of this school year and preparations for the school year (2020-2021), and the administration of the sacraments of Baptism, Penance, Holy Communion and Confirmation. Let us give thanks to God for His mercy endures forever. Let us be thankful for His grace that we may endure and per-severe thru this trial. May we receive with joy, the Wonder Counselor and the Spirit of Truth, to guide, console and en-counter us, that we may be daily engaged with the triune God. Hail Mary… Christ’s Peace!
