Concurrently with the fabrication of new Sanctuary Joinery, Coleman & Fairburn was commissioned to fabricate various pieces of new Liturgical furniture for St Mary's Cathedral. These pieces included a new Celebrant's Chair, 15 high-backed Arm Chairs, 15 Stools, 4 Credence Tables, A Fauld Stool, A Prie Dieu and a multi-panelled Screen for the Chapter House. The furniture was fabricated during the first part of 2008 and was ready for World Youth Day, July 2008. All the joinery was in solid Queensland Maple and required detailed carving work and finishing in French Polish.
