Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, We begin the second phase of our phased reopening of St. Paul Catholic Center on Wednesday, May 27. As in our previous phase, these plans are tentative and subject to adaptation and adjustment at any time as the circumstances require. The main goal is to help people get back to the Sacraments in such a way that gives us more time to slow the spread of the virus, protect the vulnerable, and learn best practices for parish and liturgical life. In Phase II, we will resume the public celebrations of Weekday Masses, Weddings and Funerals within Mass, Infant Baptisms, postponed Memorial Masses for those who have died, and the Anointing of the Sick (now even for the seriously ill who may not be in imminent danger of death). Capacity for any of these celebrations will be limited to 25 people, until further notice. Our daily Mass schedule is:
• Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 5:30pm
• Tuesday, Thursday, 12:15pm Saturday, 8:30 am
At this time, we are implementing some new protocols for the public celebration of Mass.
RSVP is required for daily Mass through Eventbrite NB: Each person will need to RSVP individually. Directions on how to register are on our website (hoosiercatholic.org) in the section: “Mass Attend-
ance Protocols” Each person may attend one Mass per week to enable the most people to attend Mass each week as possible.
Detailed information on our Mass Attendance Protocols and Protocols for the Reception of Holy Communion is available on our website. As we begin again the public celebration of the Mass, we continue to encourage all who are 65 years and older and anyone who is vulnerable to remain at home. It will certainly be a great joy to celebrate the Eucharist with you again, but, even our zeal for the Eucharist, which is the center of our Christian lives, should not cause us to take unnecessary risks or put others at risk. Please make decisions about whether to attend prudently. The dispensation of the Sunday Mass obligation re-mains in effect until August 15 and we will continue to livestream daily and Sunday Masses. You all remain in my daily prayers. Sincerely yours in Christ, Fr. Patrick Hyde, OP

Parish/Community News
During a time of prayer on Sunday or while viewing the Mass on TV or online, the faithful are encouraged to make an act of Spiritual Communion. This beautiful devotional practice in the
Church is a real source of grace in Communion with our Lord. Below is an example of a prayer for Spiritual Communion.
My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love you above all things, and I desire to receive you into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive you sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace you as if you were already there and unite myself wholly to you. Never permit me to be separated from you.
Amen.
