Every day you are asked to read books,web pages, posters, magazines, and more. Tomake sure you understand what you are reading,you need stop occasionally to summarize andask yourself questions. This activity gives yourbrain a chance sort through all the informationand decide what is most important to remember.

• When you read articles in newspapers, on web pages, or in magazines answer the 5 W’s + 1 H to ensure you understand what you have read.

• When you summarize articles, if you answered the 5 W’s + 1 H you will guarantee a complete summarization.
