What is STAR• STAR stands for School Technology and Readiness• Every year each teacher in the district takes the

STAR chart survey to determine the certain levels of technology use on campus.

• This chart helps determine how close a campus is to meeting the “Long Range Plan for Technology” in Texas from 2006-2020.

• Is technology being used for student learning and higher thinking?

• STAR focuses on four key areas: Teaching and Learning, Educator Preparation and Development, Administration and Instructional Support, Infrastructure for Technology

StAR and Stony Point• Round Rock ISD has a goal of being on of the top

tier schools around.• To accomplish this SP needs the following:– Up-to-date technology– Training for teachers– Full technology integration on campus and in

classrooms– Higher thinking lessons using technology– Full support from all people on campus
