THE PROBLEM There are over 7,000 islands in the Philippines and most of these

islands do not have access to electricity. We want to eliminate the

sustaining cost in areas that rely on kerosene/battery powered lamps

and candles as their main source of lighting.

16 Million Filipinos do not have eletricity

- PIDS (Philippine Institute for Development Studies)

HOW IT STARTED It all started in the mountains of Kalinga, Philippines...

Butbut Tribe in Kalinga

THE STORY The tribal village located up in the mountains of Kalinga rely on

kerosene lamps as their main source of lighting. They have to refill the

lamp with kerosene every other day. The nearest town to get supplies

is about 50 km away, and they cannot afford to pay for public

transporation – instead they walk 12 hours to get kerosene so they

could have some light on moonless nights.

She is a living testament as to how much effort they

need to exert to have some light to work with at night.

OUR PRODUCT

Sustainable and cost effective ecologically designed lamp powered by

"tap water" and "table salt!"

Just add water and salt! Add a glass of water and 2 tablespoons of salt, use the lamp for 8 hours.

Watch the LEDs glow! Light your way with a lamp powered by saltwater.

Charge your smartphones! For emergencies, you can charge your smartphone using this lamp. Just plug in your USB cable!

COST EFFECTIVE

Sustaining cost of SALt lamps is a fraction compared with kerosene

and battery-powered lamps.

Battery = P54 every 5 days = P3942 Kerosene = P40 every 2 days = P7300

SALt = P384 • P7 every month (Pack of salt)

• P300 every 6 months (Anode rod)

Sustaining Cost Per Year

ANODE ROD

Replace anode rod every 6 months!

Consumables

SAFE SALt lamps have no materials and components

inside that might cause fire accidents.

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY SALt lamps do not emit harmful gasses and

leaves minimal carbon footprint.

NGOs AND FOUNDATIONS To sustain our advocacy, we will seek aid and

partner with NGOs and foundations who share

similar advocacy as ours...

IN RETAIL We also plan to have this out in retail market, but we want to do it without

losing the heart of the company, without losing the heart of the product.

=

...so for every 1 lamp you purchase

...we give 1 lamp to a family
