sporting clubs, local councils,

and schools set to undertake an

artificial grass project.

• In the past, Hockey facilities have been developed in a

mostly ad-hoc manner.

• State-wide Strategic Facilities Master Plan to guide the

future development and provision of new hockey

facilities and for detailing strategies for the maintenance

and replacement of existing facilities.

• Used by Hockey Victoria, the State Government, Local

Government Agencies and schools as a key reference

guide for the management of existing facilities and for

the future planning of new facilities.

Project Overview

1. Investigate current hockey provision, distribution, quality

and sustainability.

2. Facility hierarchy development to guide future provision.

3. Identify areas of population growth and establish a need

for future hockey facility provision.

4. Identify timelines and resources required for enhancing

the Victorian hockey facility network.

5. Facilitate growth in participation in hockey through the

enhancement and development of facilities.
