Working together to support carers
Supportgroupsfor carers
Updated February 2019
Carers have told us that carer support groups give them a break and are a great way of getting advice, information and support in relation to their caring role.
The groups often enjoy varied activities and guest speakers who may be of particular interest to carers.
Please see inside for full details of all of our support groups, meeting times and locations.
In addition to the support groups there are also regular training sessions for dementia and mental health.
Carer support groups can be a good way to get emotional support from other carers who understand the things you are going through.
“I enjoy the social part of the group and I have a laugh”
“Meeting other people that are carers and hearing how they felt helped me”
“Getting different ideas on how to help and cope with a loved one was invaluable”
If you need any further information please contact Carers Leeds on 0113 380 4300.
