Allis clamp

Use- for Grasping. Often used for grasping soft tissue such as breast tissue or bowel tissue

Found in minor and major packs

Army Navy Retractor or US Retractor Use: Tissue or Bone Retraction.

Found in both major and minor orthopedic and general surgery trays .

Babcock

Use - GraspingFor grasping soft tissue or bowel.

Tissue Forceps (toothed)Use - Grasping

- Often used for grasping fascia during the closure of abdominal surgery or for closure and suturing of large orthopedic procedures such as total knee and total hip

replacement surgery.

Metzenbaum Scissors- Metz

Use - Cutting - The most common scissors use for cutting tissue.

the doctor to adjust the position of the unborn child's head during delivery

Dressing forceps have blunt tips with grooves and were

originally designed to hold gauze. However, they can used to pick up almost anything and the longer ones are handy for hard to

reach places. For very finer work, see splinter & thumb forceps or watchmaker

forceps.

Richardson RetractorUse : used to retract deep abdominal or

chest incisions. Available in multiple sizes as well as single and double ended. This is one of the most

common general surgery retractors.

Used to hold open abdominal incisions during a laparotomy.

necessary. They are ideal for tissue dissection. They are available in different lengths and sizes, to suit

various surgical procedures.

Curved iris scissorare designed for eye

surgery and not for skin surgery and hence the name. Iris scissors are

used for remove necrotic tissue. These are very

sharp, pointed scissors, available with either curved or angular cutting blades.
