Challenges in Indicator Calculation
Human Resources challenges: availability of expertise capable of data
collection, calculation and analysis of indicators.
Availability of modernized, accurate, merged and overarching databases.
Develop a framework for coordination between the concerned authorities
to efficiently implement as allowing for the implementation of these
goals more efficiently.
Take advantage of the indicators in identifying gaps, assessing needs,
setting priorities and drafting policies.

Holding intensive workshops between the different society actors (including civil
society, private sector, government representatives, experts and academics) to
discuss the indicators and integration mechanisms into the planning and monitoring
system.
Holding specialized training courses to prepare expertise capable of data collection
and indicators calculation and analysis.
Agreeing on data requirements, collection methodology and the role of agencies.
Providing funding and technical assistance from international institutions.
The development of a national action plan for data collection and indicators
assessment, including a matrix of responsibilities and timeframe. In addition to, the
agreement on the reports (content, methodology and periodicity).
Agreeing on a unified Arab stance and the exchange of regional experiences,
information and resources.
