Sweet Dreams Baby Blanket
Materials:
− Crochet hook no. G/6 and C/2-D/3
(4 and 3 mm).
− Mayflower Easy care
Measurements: Approx. 23½” x 31½”
(60x80 cm). If you want it bigger, just add a
number of chainstitches divisible by 4.
Usage: Approx.:
− Color 1 : White 6.7 oz. (190 g)
− Color 2: Pink or light blue 4.6 oz.
(130 g)

Pattern:
− Work with hook no. G/6 (4 mm).
− Opt. see illustrated guide at the bottom of the pattern.
1. Start with color 1. Make a foundation ch of 141 ch.
2. In 2nd ch from the hook, work 1 sc and then sc across. (140)
3. Turn the work using 3 ch. Work 2 dc in 4th ch from the hook. ”Skip 3 sts and work 1 sc, 2 ch, 4
dc in next st”. Repeat like this across. In last st work 1 sc.
4. Turn the work using 3 ch. Now work 2 dc in 4th st from the hook. ”Work 1 sc in the ch space of
the previous row, and then 2 ch, 4 dc in same ch space”. Repeat across. Finish with 1 sc in last
ch space.
Repeat row 4 like this until you have 83 rows all in all.
NOTE Row 83 is worked a bit differently. See the guide at the bottom of the pattern.
The colors are worked in the following order:
− Color change is made in the last pull-through of the last sc.
3 rows of color 1, 2 rows of color 2, 1 row of color 1, 2 rows of color 2, 3 rows of color 1, 1 row of
color 2, 3 rows of color 1.
The colors are repeated like this. Opt. match your own colors and stripes.

Guide for the pattern:
1. Cast on your ch.
2. Work 1 sc in 2nd ch from the hook, now work sc across.
3. Turn the work using 3 ch, and now work 2 dc in 1st sc.
4. Skip 3 sts.
5. In next st work ”1 sc, 2 ch, 4 dc”.

Row 83:
1. Turn row 83 as usual using 3 ch.
2. The next sts are worked in 4th ch from the hook.
3. Work 2 dc in the st.
4. Now work 1 sc in the ch space from the previous row.
5. Now work in the sc from the previous row.
6. Work 3 dc in sc from the previous row.

7. Work 1 sc in the ch space from the previous row.
8. Now work in sc from the previous row.
9. Work 3 dc in sc from the previous row.
10. Repeat across and finish with 1 sc.
Border:
The border is worked using a hook no. C/2-D/3 and color 1.
1.Start the border with color 1 at the top or the bottom. Make 2 ch.
2. Skip 2-3 sts

3. Make 1 sc in next st.
4. Make 2 ch.
5. Skip 2-3 sts.
6. Work 1 sc in next st.
7. Repeat ”2 ch, skip 2-3 sts, 1 sc” on all sides.
8. In the corner st, work 2 ch and 1 sc in the same st.

9. Like this.
10. On the sides of the blanket, don’t skip 2-3 sts, but repeat ”1 sc, 2 ch, 1 sc” for each row approx. Beware not to make it too tight or it will curl.
11. Repeat all the way around the blanket. Finish with 1 sl st.
12. Now make 2 ch in the first ch space you’ve just made around the border.
13. Work 2 dc in the same ch space.
14. Work 3 dc in the next ch space.

15. In the ch space in the corner, work ”2 dc, 1 ch, 2 dc”. Now repeat all the way around the blanket.
16. Finish with 1 sl st.
17. Now finish the border with one round of sc.
