INTRODUCTION

After the organizational failure of Atlanta 1996, in these games the organization was an obsession and can say it was perfect.

We can consider as the best games ever, the twenty-first century began well.

Facilities were built of an enviable quality, an international airport.

In these games, Greenpeace members organized a part the games; they use sunlight energy to power the Olympic village.

THE OLYMPIC TORCH The Olympic torch of these games in nearly

four months visited 12 states of Oceania, New Zealand and all the geography of Australia.

On 15 September came to the Olympic Stadium and the last relay was Cathy Freeman, she lit the cauldron installed it on a waterbed beginning at this edition of the Olympic Games.

MASCOTS In this Olympics Games, there wasn’t a

mascot but there were three, Olly, Syd and Millie.
