SYMMETRY

&ROTATIONAL SYMMETRY

By symmetry we mean…….symmetry•A figure that can be folded into half and each part looks exactly the same , is said to be symmetrical.

•The line that divides the image into two parts is the known as line of symmetry.

•An object that is not symmetrical is known as asymmetrical.

LINE OF SYMMETRY

To make it easy to explain….

Now it’s time to learn

ROTATIONAL SYMMETRY

ROTATIONAL SYMMETRY

The point around which you rotate is called the point of rotation.

If you can rotate a figure around a center point by fewer than 360° and the figure appears unchanged, then the figure has rotation symmetry.

The smallest angle you need to turn is called the angle of rotation.

For better understanding we have…………

IT’LL REMAIN THE WHEN ROTATED

THROUGH 90 DEGREE.
