Lung Cancer

• Lung cancer is one of the deadliest malignant tumors which arises due to various causes among which the most common cause recognized to be smoking.

• Whatever the causes of lung cancer may be the symptoms and the treatment process done varies stage by stage.

• The below slides shows some of the symptoms incurred during the all four stages of lung cancer.

Stage 1 Lung Cancer• This is the early stage of the lung cancer, where the

person feel that the lung cancer is originating in him. The cancer will be tiny and is observed in one area alone

• This is the stage where the person confirms about the positivity of being effected by the lung cancer through various tests (http://www.slideshare.net/danielvhenny/test-to-be-taken-for-symptoms-of-lung-cancer ) and diagnosing method like biopsy, x-ray, CT scan, etc…

• The person diagnosed with lung cancer at this stage can have the hope of recovering, as they are still in the initial stage.

Symptoms• Persistent cough

• Difficulty in breathing (few people assume this to be asthma or pneumonia)

• Feeling very weak.

• Weight loss

• Voice changes suddenly due to constant coughing.

Stage 2 Lung Cancer

• In this stage, the lung cancer spread to inner most region of the lung.

• The cancerous cell begin to increase gradually and reaches the diaphragm region which then the symptoms begins to show up at very faster rate.

• They enter into the rib crate, mediastinal pleura.

• This is the stage most patients go for the treatment process.

• Cough leading to outlet of blood and serum.

• Wheezing has the chance to conquer

• As the cancer spreads to the bronchi, there is chance of some infections like bronchitis.

Stage 3 Lung Cancer• Till the second stage the lung cancer can be

somehow managed with the surgery. But it is quite difficult in the third stage of lung cancer.

• At this stage, the cancer begins to spread and affect the mediastinum of the lymph node, which in turn effect the heart lining, stomach, intestine, etc….

• The symptoms will get severe at this stage.

Symptoms

• The cancer invade upper lung portion and causes some symptoms like:

• Bone pain• Shoulder pain• Reduction of sweating in the face.• Blood clots• High calcium secretion• Excess growth of bones

Stage 4 Lung Cancer• At this stage the lung cancer enter into the

unsolvable condition, this stage is specifically called to be the recurrent stage ( the lung cancer occur even after all the treatment process)

• There is a chance that the cancer can invade the brain (http://www.slideshare.net/danielvhenny/lung-cancer-spreads-to-brain-and-its-symptoms) also by affecting the nervous systems of the body.

Symptoms• Major changes incurred in the nervous system

of the body• Jaundice, as the cancer spreads to the liver• Lumps seen in the surface of the body• Dehydration• Sleep problem• Fatigue• Chronic pain
