Nice mix of company sizes given the inclusion of developers, with generally a global focus. But we have some regional focus and country focus so again a good balanced mix.

Q5. What technologies are of most of interest?
This is a common trend I’ve seen in several of surveys, a broadening interest across a range of telecom technologies. APIs remain top, but app servers and WebRTC are rising.
Technology Questions
Naturally a focus on the telecoms verFcal, but Finance, Healthcare and Consumer have a strong showing (Customer Care, Legal, Retail and Emergency Services were broken out by
several respondents in the ‘Other’ category so are included)

Technology Questions
This is a common trend I’ve seen in several of surveys, a broadening interest across a range of telecom APIs – the challenge being able to use them across a country / region. Normally
SMS is top, but I think TADS has a slight bias to a broader use of Telecom APIs

Q7. Which Telecom APIs are you the most interested?
Q8. What Questions do you want to ask the Keynotes?
Consolidated down from a much longer list with duplicaFon removed. Its an impressive and interesFng list of quesFons that shows the power of an ecosystem.
Khairil, Axiata
What is the one most important thing telcos must do in 2015 to be successful in service innovaFon? Why have Telco CxOs responded so slowly to OTT compeFFon? How do you see the Telecom API ecosystem evolving? Why is service innovaFon for telcos so hard? Should telcos become ISPs and leave service innovaFon to others?
Amos, Dialog Axiata
Why has Dialog suceeded where developed market telcos have struggled? What is the one thing you would do differently in Ideamart? Is your experience addressable to developed markets? How do you see the Telecom API ecosystem evolving? Can telcos innovate, or should they leave that to other companies? But can telcos work with other companies?
Roy, Fring
What is the hardest part of being an OTT service provider? Can telcos innovate in communicaFons now the client is lost? By 2020 can telcos sFll make money on voice and messaging? How do you see the Telecom API ecosystem evolving
Duygu, Turkcell
What are the opportuniFes for developers outside turkey to develop apps for Turkcell using Turkcell's APIs. How do you see the Telecom API ecosystem evolving Which API generates the most revenue, and what are its customers / use cases?
James, Truphone
Which new services are you most interested in? Do you think of Truphone as a Telco or an OTT service provider? How do you see the Telecom API ecosystem evolving By 2020 can you sFll make money on voice and messaging? What is the one most important thing telcos must do in 2015 to be successful in service innovaFon?
Q9 What Questions do you want to ask the Closing Panel on the Future of Telecom Application Development
Consolidated down from a much longer list with duplicaFon removed. Its an impressive and interesFng list of quesFons that shows the power of an ecosystem.
• What is your view about telco app market in 2020 - will it exist? Will it just be part of Apple and Google's stores?
• We've struggled working with telcos, can they really change or should we focus on our direct channel?
• APIs beyond voice, billing and messaging, e.g. profile, require us to work with telcos, but we need national/global APIs, can new Telco APIs succeed?
• Can telcos really work with developer partners? Currently its just words not deeds, its not a good situation.
• Aggregators deliver the Telecom APIs we need, are telcos relevant beyond providing wholesale services to aggregators?
• Is AT&T and Orange's 'go it alone' approach to APIs sustainable?• Will WebRTC replace Telecom APIs?• Is building to RCS APIs worth the investment? There are no country-wide APIs, is it alive
or dead?• Why is WebRTC so complex compared to everything else in HTML5? Why are there so
many confusing tools for WebRTC?• Is USSD viable in developed markets? Iphone support of USSD is 'patchy.'• What will be the popular TAD use cases in 2015 and beyond?
Questions 10-12• Q10 Who are the 3 people / organizations you most want to
meet at TADS?– Top 3 categories: Developers, Carriers, Technology Vendors.
Obvious but is shows the focus is across the ecosystem.– On named individuals almost everyone one of the presenters
got a vote, but Khairil from Axiata came top by a whisker
• Q11 What are the 3 things you want out of TADS– Networking was the dominate requirement– The next 3 were all around the same importance: Leads,
Discover new services, and Find partners
• Q12 Overall Agenda Comments– Focus on case studies is the dominant requirement, and keep
vendor marketing to a minimum.
QuesFons 10-‐12 confirmed the need to keep TADS focused on building the ecosystem, with a pracFce focus through case studies, with networking being a criFcal requirement
Q13 What is your view of the work streams?
Work stream appear a big hit, and give a break from the back to back case studies to frankly share insights and experiences. Let’s hope we deliver on that interest J
0 5 10 15 20 25 30
Work Stream 1. Go-‐to-‐market recommendaFons for Enterprise Services.
Work Stream 2. How do Telco and Vendor Ecosystems work together?
Work Stream 3. Telecom ApplicaFon Developer Showcase.
Work Stream 4. InnovaFon in legacy consumer services.
Work Stream 5. Processes for successful new service commercializaFon.
Work Stream 6. Reviewing how TADHack can create a service innovaFon pipeline.

Q14. TADS 2015 Ideas, to get around the crazy telco travel restrictions
Clearly gemng the content online is criFcal. Next is a hybrid event, closely followed by using web conferencing for speed network. This endorses the ideas for TADS 2015.

Questions 15-16• Q15 What developer communities are you involved with?
– A very good comment made by several respondents is most communities are about info distribution, so developers are members of many online communities
– It was a long list covering Github, Apple, Android, TADS and even some telco communities with Dialog coming top given its focus in TADSummit.
• Q 16 How do you find business?– This backs up the important of networking in Q11. And the
importance of getting the content online to support people’s online marketing campaigns.
Endorses the importance of gemng the TADSummit content online and supporFng networking throughout the event.
