The theme of the day is health and wellness, so we encourage you to

She embraces evidence-based practice and is passionate about new and innovative techniques to support behaviour change. Peta is a world leading researcher in Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT or Tapping) and has led a world first study investigating the impact of EFT in the brain through a fMRI study. She has been awarded the Harvey Baker Research Award for meticulous re-search in energy psychology by the Association of Comprehen-sive Energy Psychology, and also the greatest contribution to the field of Energy Psychology. Peta has been awarded the Global Weight Management Congress Industry Professional Award of Excellence, and in 2019 Peta was named Psychologist of the Year by the Australian Allied Health Awards. Peta has authored The Science Behind Tapping: A Proven Stress Management Technique for the Mind and Body (Hay House), which won Best self-help book in the 2019 Best Book Awards sponsored by Amer-ican Book Fest. https://petastapleton.com About todays presentation This presentation will outline the latest EFT research updates from Australia. In 2019 Dr Peta Stapleton replicated Dr Dawson Church’s 1 hour cortisol trial with one small change that almost doubled the reduction in cortisol after EFT. In 2020 she began an EFT for Chronic Pain trial that examined a self paced version against a live facilitator -led version. Outcomes from these two ar-eas will be discussed.

Tapping into Recovery: Recover-ing a Life Amid Chronic Illness
About Mahima Mahima is a researcher, with a particular interest in the area of health sociology and integrative medicine. She is passion-ate about using qualitative inquiry and creative arts research methods to explore health and illness experiences. In her Ph.D., she explored the use of Emotional Freedom Tech-niques (EFT) for supporting physical chronic disease healthcare. Based on her research, she has developed the 'Kalla Model: Using EFT to support chronic disease healthcare for patient as a whole-person'. Underpinned by a biopsychosocial view of health, this model provides a holistic framework for supporting chronic illness patients. Her re-search has been published in journals such as Disability and Rehabilitation, and International Journal of Wellbeing. About todays presentation Complex and multifaceted in both causality and impact, chronic illnesses pose physical, emotional and economic bur-den on people, families, and economies across the world. In light of complex care needs and often a lack of established and accepted medical cure, is it possible for patients to gain more control of their health, better manage their health condi-tion, and 'recover a life'? In this presentation, we will look at some case studies (developed as part of a qualitative re-search study) of patients and EFT practitioners who have used EFT to support physical chronic disease healthcare. In addition, we will also look at a practice-based model that EFT practitioners can apply to better support their clients with chronic physical health conditions.

NICE recommendations for EFT
About Jacqui As well as serving AAMET International then EFT Interna-tional as Chair since 2014 and being part of a wider move-ment advancing EFT, Jacqui runs EFT Devon as Accredited Certified EFT Master Trainer and Eden Energy Medicine Certified Practitioner. Her EFT specialty areas are complex or chronic issues and autoimmune illness. She is a qualified Teacher – BA(Hons) PGCE – and also holds qualifications in NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), Matrix Reimprinting, Naturopathic Nutrition, Reiki, WHEE, Ask and Receive, Emo-trance. Jacqui has a passion for teaching and facilitating EFT because of its capacity holistically to empower and to support lifestyle change and health optimisation alongside other modalities such a naturopathic nutrition and energy medicine. Jacqui was vital in getting EFT accepted for research fund-ing through the NICE guidelines in 2018 Jacqui’s Website: eftdevon.co.uk About todays presentation In the UK, the National Institute for Health and Care Excel-lence (formerly National Institute for Clinical Excellence – NICE) is responsible for the evaluation of all treatments and therapy to be recommended for use in the UK’s National Health Service (NHS). NICE produces guidelines by condi-tion. This presentation concerns the NICE Guideline for Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), NG116 and how EFT, in combination with TFT, which NICE referred to as “combined somatic and cognitive therapies” (CSACTs), was accepted as a therapy worthy of further research funding.
This talk will clarify what NICE regards as good research, thus helping anyone considering doing EFT research to do that research to the standard required by NICE. Once NICE, and therefore the NHS, have accepted EFT, it will truly be re-garded as “mainstream”

Using the Scientific Evidence to Supercharge Your EFT Business
About Craig
Craig Weiner is an EFTi Master Trainer of Trainers and together with his wife Alina Frank, directs the EFT Tapping Training Institute. They are the produc-ers of the documentary, The Science of Tapping and offer a variety of continuing education trainings such as the EFT Marketing and Business Academy, Tap-ping out of Trauma, Matrix Reimprinting and others. About today’s presentation Growing your EFT practice can sometimes feel like a tricky business. While as EFT practitioners we know that doing the "internal work" can have a profound effect on the exter-nal ease or difficulty of marketing yourself there are strate-gies that we can implement that have excellent track rec-ords for effectiveness. Given the fact that the majority of the population still have no idea what EFT is, and if they do, they may consider EFT to be a fringe therapy and have concerns about its validity. Finding ways to integrate EFT science and research into your outreach can help to not only alleviate concerns and skepticism but can inspire and motivate potential clients and professional collaborations. Today Craig will offer some powerful tips and guidelines for doing just that. Craig Weiner, DC is an EFTi master trainer of trainers (MTOT) and director with his wife Alina Frank of the EFT Marketing Business Academy (EFTMBA.com)
